National Garlic Day - April 19th

April 19th is National Garlic Day . Did you know that garlic has been around over 7000 years? Needless to say it's been a big part of everyday life from cooking to medicinal purposes. I've even heard it keeps vampires away! HA!

I recently read that "garlic breath" can be neutralized by sipping milk or eating parsley. I've never tried this, have you? Did it work?

I don't mind the smell of garlic at all and I love using it for recipes.

Here are some of my garlic inspired recipe picks for you:

Deep South Dish - Garlic Cheese Grits
