How to Make A Balsamic Glaze


A Balsamic Glaze is simple to make. It's a reduction of balsamic vinegar combined with sweetness to create a thick syrup type condiment. It's perfect drizzled on caprese salad, roasted vegetables, or meats adding wonderful flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 c Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2 tbs Brown Sugar

Combine ingredients in a small sauce pan and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat and simmer until it reduces by half. This will take about 20 minutes or so.

The mixture will thicken and will adhere to a spoon as shown above.

Pour Balsamic Glaze into a bottle with a tip. May be refrigerated up to one month. The glaze will thicken a little more once refrigerated.
