Happy Independence Day!

Independence, or more commonly spoken today, the Fourth of July. It is our day to celebrate the day in 1776, when the  Declaration of Independence was approved by the Continental Congress.

We prepare to celebrate this weekend with barbecues, visits from family & friends, and watching the annual fireworks celebration. Perhaps a trip to getaway from it all - Americans celebrates! We have adorned our homes with red, white, and blue. The menus are planned. A feast and fun for all.

We certainly live in a wonderful country. I wanted to take a moment to wish all of you a very happy and safe "4th of July". I want to thank those who have served our country and those who serve today. It is they who have and continue to fight for our freedom.

"It is the truest sense, freedom cannot be bestowed; it must be achieved." ~ Franklin D. Roosevelt

"You have to love a nation that celebrates it independence every July 4th, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness. You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism." ~Erma Bombeck
