How to Make Homemade Sour Cream

Make your own homemade sour cream. So simple and so delicious.

1 c Heavy Cream 
3 tbs Buttermilk

To make the sour cream, add the buttermilk to the heavy cream and stir to combine. Cover the container with cheesecloth or kitchen towel. Let the mixture sit at room temperature for 48 hours. Chill before serving and stir.

The acid in the buttermilk protects the mixture against bacteria, so the cream will not go bad while sitting out.

Keep refrigerated - lasts 1 week.
