Southern Memorial Day Menu Ideas

In this post you’ll find delicious Southern Memorial Day Menu Ideas!

“Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude. America will never forget their sacrifices.” ~ President Harry S. Truman

Hey Y’all! I don’t think you can say it any better than President Truman said it. We will be forever grateful to our country’s military. We have so much to be grateful for thanks to their service.

I come from a family who’s members have served this country for hundreds of years from the Revolutionary War, Civil War through our present day. I certainly honor their memory, service and sacrifice as well as all our military.

Through our memorial we also celebrate this day. Family and friends gather around with the opportunity to spend time together. Our unofficial start to Summer and in the south where there is a celebration going on, there is food. BBQ season!

Here are some of my favorite recipes to celebrate this day. They may be quite similar to what your family will be having or you may get an idea of something you’d like to include.
